A series of strong winter storms hit the mountains of northern Arizona this past week covering the landscape and loaded down the ponderosa pines with two feet of snow. It was a breathtaking sight to behold - from the inside of a warm cabin of course!
From the porch we watch the resident hummingbirds fly back and forth from their watering hole (aka: hummingbird feeder) to the Ponderosa Pines in the front yard. They're becoming less intimidated by our presence as witnessed by the fact that we sit within 6 feet of where they feed.
